Using the iOS platform you can press on the screen of the iPhone / iPad until the blue circle appear around finger, then swipe left, right, up or down to control the pan and/or tilt of the camera. You can also customize the C1 or C2 buttons to snap the camera back to center.

I tested my Inspire 1 with the CrystalSky 5.5 with all current FW and had no issues at all. And happy to report that Inspire 1, DJI Go 3.1.27 and iOS 11.2.5 are once again functional.

Make sure there is not a firmware mismatch between RC, Aircraft, and camera. Your scenario sounds similar to an issue that a friend of mine had with his Inspire 1.
