That sounds reasonable. They shouldn't have powerful distortion, else it would've affected their on board instruments anyway right. I think I'll take the offer to accompany the ship for a test run to film it then :)

Thanks! @Charles.mabry: There was actually another quad (I think it was a Phantom 3) that the shipyard use to document their launch. Here's a 360 VR view of the ceremony that I captured with a Ricoh Theta S... if you pay attention to the sky, you can see my Inspire following the ship closely...

Bali is a lot cooler closer to june-july, because it's winter in Aussie :) Sept-Nov should still be ok though, and it doesn't coincide with any local holidays, so the traffic and other facilities are 'ok' (not fully booked/not price inflated).

Are you looking to add soundtrack and such to your drone recorded videos? Look into video editors, like Adobe Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas Pro, Sony Movie Maker, etc
