Deleted and re-installed and that solved the connection problem. I haven't lost any of my videos either, it's just handy to have all that stuff accessible if you want to show somebody a bit of footage on your iPad. I could re-load into the Videos app I suppose. No matter. Can't worry about it...

Silly me, never thought of that. Question: what happens to all your video that's stored with the app? I went to delete the app and, of course, I get the warning dialog stating that all the app's data will be deleted as well. Anybody know?

Luckily I tried this at home first before heading out for a flight. Is anybody else experiencing this: launch the DJI GO app v2.4.3, click on Camera to connect to Inspire, app thinks for a bit then crashes? I've re-booted my iPad Air but no luck yet. Was connecting fine with 2.4.2.

Very interesting. I suppose those pilots that ARE using the Bad Elf set-up are also using their altimeter, which is, of course, barometric in nature. Since I usually run boats with a GPS this hasn't occurred to me. Thanks.

I'm planning on my using my Bad Elf GPS for position data. That should be lot more accurate than than the built-in GPS. After all, don't some private Pilots use the Bad Elf units hooked up to an iPad for actual navigation?

I'm thinking that DJI's new relationship with Hasselblad should be paying some dividends in 2016. Patience my friends.

A bunch of good stuff here but we've strayed a bit from the original idea, which was changing the app so that it has less fluff for Pro use.

It's great to see options from third parties coming to market. However, that rig from DroneExpert.nl sure looks like a slap together rig with a lot of exposed wiring flailing about in comparison to the clean integration of the X5. ...and how about those extra, extra long landing legs? I'm sure...

@ The Editor: Thanks very much for the post. I'm not as concerned about it now as I was when it first happened. I believe it has happened again but since nothing seemed to happen and everything returned to normal virtually immediately I'm just going to keep an eye out for it and fly cautiously...

Assuming that any individuals that would be providing footage are licensed and insured in their jurisdiction, this is potentially a good business idea, but as others have pointed out, primarily for the creator of the DroneCaddyApp, not so much for the individuals who might consider shooting that...

Agreed on the camera front. I think it's the same sensor if I'm not mistaken. Certainly the one big pro for the Phantom would be size as it's easier to transport and find backpacks for etc. Coolness factor on the Inspire is much higher and the perception of professionalism to the uninitiated...

Wasn't the Phantom 3 "Professional" released after the Inspire 1? Before that I thought the models of Phantom were "Phantom", "Phantom Vision", "Phantom 2", "Phantom 2 Vision", and "Phantom 2 Vision Plus". Or are you referring to the newly released Inspire 1 Pro in comparison to the Phantom 3...
