To my knowledge, the camera extension cable only works with the X3 camera (not X5). Whenever I use my OSMO Pro, if I want to mount a camera via the extension cable, I have to pull of my X5 (leaving the X5 adapter on the handle) and use my X3.
I am a location sound mixer with 25+ years experience doing nationally broadcasted television shows. I have successfully used the OSMO Pro on numerous occasions as a B or C camera. I simply put a Tentacle sync box on it and feed the Tentacle into the OSMO’s 1/8” mic input. This puts my audio...
Here's a scenario... Is it possible to use the folding props with the adapters? This would give you the ability to switch between fixed props and folding props or the ability to replace a prop with a backup prop if there's a blade strike.
To my knowledge and the way I do it on my Smartpower Charger, I’ll take a battery that’s been flown to around 20% and place it in the SPC while the deep cycle mode is selected. Keep in mind, the SPC wants you to “turn the battery on” before inserting it in the charger. I let the SPC Charger...
Obviously the current lens you’re flying with plays a big part in judging the distance from objects. Switching between my 12, 25 or 45mm lenses takes me a minute to acclimate.
I currently own the 12, 15, 25 and 45. They all have their place. I will say the Olympus 12 is not just good for your wide landscape shots but also good for flying in close proximity to points of interest (think statues or between trees).
Are you using Go or Go 4 for your flight app? If you're using Go 4 (which you shouldn't be for an Inspire 1) it has no Graduation Hat icon. In its place are 3 lines.
If you're using the standard Go app, in the top right corner of your white "Connect to Equipment" screen, you should see the...
I disagree. The better glass options is THE reason to upgrade. That is why I did it. Search YouTube for Inspire 1 X5 videos with the Olympus 45mm. You just can't achieve that look with the X3 camera and fixed aperture. For what it's worth, I'm flying a V1 T-600 Inspire on original motors/esc.
I work for NBC and we have a ton of OSMO X3 versions that are used all the time. Typically, a producer will be assigned an OSMO and they will shoot some cut away shots while the real camera guys are getting the critical stuff with audio.
