You still had a foot to 16 inches to go. Lol. That’s a little scary when stuff like that happens. Especially at the rate of your decent was. Give you the pucker effect. Lol. I actually give myself training exercises to do. Like flying up to trees and getting what looks to be a foot away in the screen then looking up to see what the actual distance is. The camera always seems to make things look closer than they actually are.
Obviously the current lens you’re flying with plays a big part in judging the distance from objects. Switching between my 12, 25 or 45mm lenses takes me a minute to acclimate.
