Avoid non-DJI 1345S Quick Release Prop Mounts

Stacy, that's great! Still, we shouldn't have to shame a company into doing proper business. I wonder if my missing stuff will ever show up? If not, I have a backup plan. That is, start going to their marketing shows/seminars/conventions and ask lots of embarrassing questions about their...

Avoid non-DJI 1345S Quick Release Prop Mounts

Yet another DJI fubar customer service failure. Zero customer service, zero care, near zero support. And I am probably not the only one who feels that 95% of the support for these things come from people other than DJI. I still haven't received the paperwork or prop locks that SHOULD HAVE come...

Disabling the No Fly Zone protection

There are people who also ignore speed limits. Does that mean all cars should be controlled not to exceed the posted limits?

Disabling the No Fly Zone protection

Rather than a bird specific code, let the OWNER decide. I'd like to see them give a pop-up with the rules, regs, parameters, etc. The pilot would have to acknowledge the note. Once read/acknowledged the thing can fly.

New forum section for bad drone press?

http://www.popsci.com/drones-save-children-from-flooding This week, a 12-year-old and an 18-year-old were stranded on a rock surrounded by rapids after a tubing accident. Thanks to the firefighters of Mechanic Falls, Maine, and a drone, the two were safely rescued. This was no miraculous lift...

Disabling the No Fly Zone protection

There are a number of different no fly zones. Most of which have altitude limitations near airports, structures, etc. Others are verboten all together. These are things like military and Federal facilities that are protecting our countries secrets. And then there are places like Washington...

New forum section for bad drone press?

Sorry that I misread and misunderstood your post. You are right, of course, and I couldn't agree more. We are crushed with bad news. And that bad "news" may be only 1 story out of 1000.

New forum section for bad drone press?

I can't see where I ever mentioned "sensor the news." Actually, the news is already censored to the negative and political bias. Also, I wasn't thinking two new boards, just the existing one. Here's where that thought came from. My first commander told all of us junior officers to never...

New forum section for bad drone press?

Why not do both? If the board adopts a culture where members are encouraged to add a good story first, before adding a story about abusing the use of a UAV. Good stories are harder to find as we've been media conditioned to look for, exaggerate and at times even glorify the bad. We can...

New forum section for bad drone press?

Dittos, agree with a dedicated forum. I would also like to suggest a dedicated forum for customer service issues.

    Spare Parts

Check eBay. There are several on there.

Can anyone tell me this isnt a ripoff?

Hmmm, did I hit a nerve? Not intentionally if I did. Anyway, no. it was not a dig simply because there is no need to point out the horrible DJI "Customer Service." They do a great job of that all by themselves....as well as many members here and on other forums (including DJI's forum)...

Can anyone tell me this isnt a ripoff?

No aircraft flys better than it's reliability and access to unobstructed maintenance. Can you get parts for it? Is their customer service and repair department adequately managed and staffed? Is it reliable? Does it occasionally run away on its own? Does it take 6 or more weeks and a $100...

Lufthansa Plane "Nearly Collides With Drone."

This may have been little more than an escaped balloon. With that said, is there s national organization specifically for consumer drones? If not, why not? Member pilots could be guided by a set of objectives/guidelines/rules/pledge regarding proper conduct. Heck, have online courses (laws...
