I have also just checked the connections inside the gimbal and everything looks ok in there, I even tried rubbing a pencil on the pins to see if that helps. It made no difference so I am assuming that its not the gimbal that is failing.

Thanks for replying! From what I can see everything seems to be in its place, I've checked the pins and even loosened the screws slightly to ensure the pins connect but no different.
