Does anyone have a solution to the choppy/laggy review footage you get in the field from 4k (on the X5R)?

I appreciate the proxy compressed footage to MSD card but it seems useless for review purposes on iPad as the chop prevents an assessment of whether you've 'got' the footage or not. iPad can't cope. If we could use a 4k monitor like an Assassin in place of iPad we would, presumably, get smooth footage.. But we can't?

Am I missing something obvious? Damon?

Thanks, Ian

I have a cheap lenovo Windows tablet (was like <$200 a year ago) with a microSD slot that natively plays 4K H264 perfectly smoothly. Most android tablets from the past year or so will do too.

Apple mobile devices are obviously pretty useless since external storage is pretty much not a concept they consider.

You can use any monitor with an inverter plugged into the car or a 12v battery.

Thanks Jay, will investigate also - but a bit more than we really want to spend just for fast field review..

Harry - what's an 'inverter'?
