I just recently bought a DJI Inspire 1 v2.0 and am new to drones. I figured out flying pretty well but do not know how to update firmware. What updates should I do and how do I do them?

Firmware isn't hardware. There are no "mechanics." So I don't understand the question.

Yes. The "gimbal" is actually the camera. Use the X3 to update firmware. NOT the X5. All this is covered many, many times in this forum.
