Does AMA properly represent UAS concerns?

with so many State and Local entities announcing "No takeoff, operating or landing" regulations to circumvent the FAA position (here in America) that no other agency may make laws concerning American airspace, obviously we need some type of representative, does anyone feel the AMA will be a good choice? Is there another recommendation?
 
The AMA has this outdated notion that people fly at designated RC fields. They certainly don't represent my interests.
