Hot swapping Batteries?

In it they talked about hot swapping the batteries and not having to shut down. Is this new - To take one batt off and replace it?

I thought the batts needed to be paired so I'm not sure how this works. Anybody with experience on this? Is it ok to do that?

Not new

You swap both batteries. Hold one in while ejecting and then replace the other. Then repeat for the other battery. Or get a hot swap button tool.?

do a search on the forum, you should find a few topics about the hotswapping. Works quite well once you've got the hang of things. Someone's posted a video (in chinese I think) on youtube which shows a guy landing, swapping and in the air again within 35 seconds. in truth, he's actually probably a bit on the slow side

I use hot swapping on almost all my shoots. I've gotten it down to a science now and can swap out the batteries quick quickly and get back in the air. Works wonders when filming Marathons and Races.
