I spend a lot of time being conservative and planning as much as possible, in large part to remove as many surprises as possible. Sometimes, things work out and others, the unexpected introduce s itself into the mix. Often I'll have to do a reset, but sometimes serendipity arrives reminding me why I do this. The kayakers were not in the mix btw.
