yes ..if they charged you for a full assembly and just replaced the servo then I'd ask for some money back. I'm not sure what parts are available to buy and if the servo is available to buy without the assembly.

Hi there. No need to update anything until you connect to the app and if the a.c. or r.c. needs an firmware update the dji go app will prompt you to do so. Usually I start up my r.c then power on the battery on the a.c. then I start the go app up.

not sure on an i2 ,but on an i1 I think there's two,not sure if they're on the front or back of the ac.

I didn't have this warning until I was forced to update my i1 to current firmware .. I was on old firmware from way back and when they switched to mandatory registration and stoped the pilot app that's when my optical port failed and the aircraft wouldn't take the new firmware and that's when...
