4K playback issues on PC?

Anyone else have playback issues with a raw 4k video?
For the record, my hardware is:
CPU: i7 3820 (3.6Ghz)
Memory: 32Gig DDR3
V/C: Radeon R 9 290X (4gb)
28" Samsung 4k monitor.

I've gone so far as to copy the file on to my 512gig SSD operating drive and it comes out super choppy...totally unwatchable with Quicktime as it is a .MOV file...

Thoughts?

I have no problems with the files using VLC player..it's free and plays ANY format..

Thanks CactusPilot. I also played with Divx and that seems to be fine as long as the movie is on my HDD...even with USB3.0 it's not a fast enough transfer rate...lol

I was planning to shoot my first 4K video this weekend and was worried about the same issue...and my computer is far from being a beast!

Like Cactus and I have mentioned. Try out VLC or Divx...give them a go as both have worked perfectly for me.
What do you have for 4k playback?

I use VLC for playback and do my editing in CC ON A win 64 setup.
