The idea is not to fake the effect but film in proper anamorphic, I'd also not be happy jamming a bit of cardboard inside my lens.

So yes the the explanation of how to fake it would be a waste of time.
 
I'd be interested in trying the MFT Anamorphic lens from Sirui, this seems to be getting some reasonable reviews.
Weight is 560g may be that this is a bit cumbersome or heavy for the I2?

Any other anamorphic options available?
The heaviest lens I've successfully mounted on X5S camera is Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary (280G). Necessary balancing counterweights rendered 755G total payload, challenging gimbal's yaw mechanism, vibration dampers and flight time significantly. Sirui glass will likely double this payload, turning the Inspire into a clumsy, struggling carrier ...
