Battery question

I have an I1 with 4 batteries. I don't fly it often but when I do it's usually on short notice. I charge the batteries and store it. I know the batteries start to discharge after 10 days or so. Question is. Once bats start to discharge is it necessary to Discharge completely or can they be just topped off.

ALWAYS charge your batteries fully (100%) prior to flying.
Dji recommends to discharge your batteries every 10 to 20 cycles.

You don't need to discharge first usually... but I'd do so if it's been more than a month since they were last discharged.

Speaking of discharging, has anyone actually seen the automatic discharge take place? I set all of my batteries (3 TB48, 1 TB47) to 3 days, but they never go down, Otherwise, my batteries appear normal, all cells are always very close to each other.

This is why I asked the question. They start to go down after 10 days. Usually when I open the case after putting it away they will be at 3 lights instead of 4. I think you can adjust when they start to discharge in the app. So do you just top them off or discharge to 30% then recharge

Yes, mine are set to auto discharge at 3 days. But it has been more than 10 days, and they are still full. I don't get it. Mind you, they are all performing flawlessly otherwise, so I am not complaining. I just expected them to drop on their own, and they do not appear to do that. Just odd.

put them in the inspire and check the setting the app, double check their not set to 10 days.

Everytime the battery firmware is updated (like with the last 2 updates) it gets reset to 10 days.

And every time you press the button to check the level the timer is reset.
