I live in Gloucester, MA, and fly over the water quite often. Whenever people ask about birds, I always say, "I've never had a problem; they don't seem interested, and might even be frightened."

I was filming for a TV movie the other day, getting some coastline fly-bys in the harbor. The director spotted a lobster boat heading out, and asked if I could follow it for a bit. I could see the gulls that inevitably gather around lobster boats, but I was pretty high up, so I didn't think it would be an issue.

Turns it out was the sight-seeing gull I needed to worry about. Just as I was catching up to the boat, he enters the top left of the frame, just as the clip begins.

I was going to take my I2 out to Gloucester sometime. Can you recommend an area that I can fly from?

Just about anywhere you fly in Gloucester is beautiful. Stage Fort Park is great, and the State Fish Pier gives you great access to the inner harbor.
