My understanding is that for PfCO there is no need to apply to the CAA for another airframe in the same weight class. If you were looking at an OSC it would be a different matter as the Exemption under an OSC is specific to an aircraft type.
I hold an OSC for an I1 (V2 and Pro) and wish CAA would see sense and let me use it for a P4P too but no dice. Amazingly, they seem happier for a 3.5kg UAV with zero redundancy to be flying around than a 1.1kg UAV with some redundancy. Go figure!
