We're looking on integrating this into Kittyhawk - Drone Flight Logging ... Is this a feature people want? Our flight logging isn't automatic but it's very quick and easy. Do you want all the DJI data too?

its kind of interesting to see that data, distance, speed, flight time, height, number of pics or video taken as well as total flights, distance, and so on but the dji version has never really worked correctly in my experience so if your app is able to record such info reliably that would be kinda neat, though its certainly not essential info.

What Application can be used to read the data downloaded from the aircraft?

once you have download the dat files to your pc goto Maps Made Easy -

you will see a BROWSE box , look for the dat file on you pc and click on it,, it will then be uploaded and converted to a flight path line in google maps, (see image below) you can see no telemetry will be shown.
You can of course get the DJI go app to display the flight log and use a phone camera to record the screen . like this

Update on screen capture,, If you are using an android phone/tablet with the inspire there is an app on the play store called AZ Screen Recorder, this will record your screen so when you take off just start the app , press record and you will have your flight recorded straight to the phone/tablet with all the info as well
