Just wondering if this update restricts the Inspire 2 as well

its for all craft except those using the A3 and N3 controllers.

no one knows what it restricts, if anything for us (in the UK). However I would suggest if it restricts most of the things that DJI themself show their drones doing on their website, which are clearly not compliant with any regulations most of us fly by, that that might be a good thing.

Complete supposition... but I've a feeling that DJI discovered that (at some point) the Geo fencing for China either wasn't working, wasn't being applied correctly, or was being spoofed in some way. So this is an attempt by them to put it right before the chinese authorities give them a kicking! Hopefully, as they've already messed the rest of the world up with the Geo fencing, it won't have any extra impact on the rest of us
