Curious if others have need or found a method in field to take a few aerial photos with embedded metadata and use them to create an autonomous flight plan? In some urban areas or even inner city areas, it’d be benificial to take an aerial view to assist in developing a route not clearly visible or doesn’t exist on maps (google, etc). Example, old hillside barn for scenic orbital, 2) a wooded section soon to be cleared for a house construction, 3) inner city clearing of block for new development and needing to set up a saved repeatable progress route. Overall various shots helpful to assist to improve accuracy and not require flying a pattern to mark waypoints.
Are there accurate ways to extract the gps metadata from photo and use photo as backdrop or overlay layer to construct an aerial route?
Any 3rd party tools that offer this feature?
