IMU Sensor readings

Since owning my Inspire, I have done a lot of reading about flyaways & crashes, some due to pilot error and some unlucky malfunctions.

With regard to the first "Pilot Error" I have noticed a lot of it has been the lack, bad or no proper compass calibration or checking their IMU readings.

Surely this could be checked by the "Pilot App" itself before giving takeoff clearance and any reasons to address it highlighted.

No saying we should not have our own check list to go by.

You don't. - It will only throw up a message If it believes a calibration is necessary.
