Just bought an inspire 1 RC to fly with my phantom 3 pro. Do I need to buy the inspire 1 charger or can i use my P3P charger.

Yes, you will need to purchase an Inspire 1 charger.

Yes, either charger will charge the RC since the voltage is reduced to accommodate charging a 2s internally, so purchasing a separate charger is not necessary if this is all you want to do.
However a Phantom charger will not charge a 6s pack.
