Inspire 1 with X5 with Panasonic 45-175mm zoom lens ?

I was able to grab a copy of the 40-150 for myself.

The good:
It autofocuses!

The bad:
Super front heavy. Extended much past 60mm it is off balance with all the weights that balance my 45-175 perfectly. I don't know how to add more weight since there just isn't any more room to attach anything. Tungsten might work, but lead obviously can easily be formed into any shape you want.

Pictures look decent, but as with the 45-175 video is probably too shaky to use.

Apparently tungsten putty is a thing.

I will try to help but sorry for English ...

I used 40-150 at a focal length of ~ 110mm higher, it is already very difficult to take sharp photos, the gimbal is still working and with such a large focal length it is a problem. So limit yourself to this 110mm.

You can make two weights. One ~126g on the back, the hardest one to make, fits perfectly. The second weight is about 18.5-19g. You can also make the counterweight on the back smaller to make it easier to fit on the back behind the camera. And the counterweight underneath the camera is a little bigger.

Mounting on a camera:

Now, at a focal length of about 100-110mm, the lens is balanced

However, I will persuade you to make another investment and buy a Panasonic 35-100mm, I found it on Ebay from Germany for around 100 euros
With this lens you will have a focal length of 100mm (equivalent to 200m per crop) and save around 180 grams of lens weight and counterweights.

and the counterweight for this 35-100 lens at 100mm focal length weighs a total of 48g and looks like this:

The lens 35-100 is great and takes such pictures at 100mm:

I hope I helped.

Your English is fine!

I have to admit, I never really considered adding weight to the sides of the camera, the minimal lever arm means adding a lot of weight. I've actually have been playing around with little 1/4x1/4" cubes of tungsten. Turns out they super glue together pretty well which means you can get them to conform to somewhat of a shape. The tungsten putty from what I understand isn't any heavier than lead so it doesn't really add much benefit there.

I've been able to get out to 75mm now by replacing one of my lead weights with tungsten and once I get more tungsten I'll be able to get out further. I did try adding one of my lead weights to the sides of the camera and got out to 120mm, so there is definitely improvement to be made.

I'll keep an eye out for the 35-100mm. I got the 40-150 pretty cheap so it was worth trying, but that 35-100 looks to be a better choice.
