So I have flown inspires in the past and was given on as payment for some mechanic work. Has super low use but has been sitting for quite some time. After force charging the batteries with a LIPO charger and getting them to charge and hold charge on the DJI charger, I tried turning on the bird. The bird at first was giving me gimble control and props but NO CONNECTION TO DJI GO APP. I tried several devices and then updated the bird firmware to the latest firmware where i lost props and now only have gimble control. THE RC CONNECTS TO THE BIRD AND IS BOUND, however the DJI GO app does not connect to anything. I tried a multitude of wires, and then tried a brand new in box remote that I had from my old bird. Nothing worked. The usb doesnt even charge the Ipad on lightning cable however it does charge my newer USB C phone go figure.
I then followed Donnie's video on reverting the bird to the old firmware 1.08xxxx and that went smooth. But now I have a bird that binds to the remote no issues but still will not connect to the DJI app. the Problem is I cant update the firmware or even check for connectivity because usually thats done on the app. Apologies for my lack of knowledge. Thanks again!
Remote- GL658B C1 two of them
Bird- Inspire 1 V2
Camera- Base camera with zenmuse x3
DJI GO APP- latest only says how to connect under Inspire 1

The DJI GO app is for the Inspire 1. You have to download the DJI GO 4 app for the Inspire 2. Hope this helps.

What device are you running the DJI Go app on? I’m using the Mini iPad 6 without any problems. When I use an Android device I’ve found that anything that’s too knew for some reason won’t work. Just throwing some ideas out there. Good luck!

Try the litchi flight platform. Should run you about $25. Runs on top of dji fly and dji go. Opens features like waypoints for mavic mini. (Just an example) but it connects seamlessly on all aircraft ive used it with. Mini, mini se, air2s, inspire1 v2) good luck.

I have nearly the same problem. Many months unused, recharged batteries, Controller is correctly linked to drone, (Starts/Stops motors, controls camera, but I am not about to fly it yet) but the DJI GO app states "Not Connected", and of course the screen proves that. Has anyone reached out to DJI for a solution? I am about to try and test the issue on my DJI Phantom Pro (Once I get the batteries back online). DJI GO was loaded on both my iPhone 12 and my Samsung Galaxy (It used to work fine in both cases) on both drones.

A few hours later - It turned out that the issue was the cable between the controller and iPhone (Duh! Cable now in bin). Checked on both Inspire 1 and Phantom 3. Much happier. I have yet however to fix up the DJI GO app on my Samsung Galaxy Android pad

The first problem is forcing the batteries to charge. Just about any battery tech will tell you that forcing a DJI battery to charge blocks some of the functions that a DJI drone uses. Go to AirAmericaAerial.com/shop and order a repaired T-48 or buy one of the 10000amp or 9000 amp batteries. They will give you almost 35 minutes of flight time. Another fix is to check the camera to drone cable. The one I got had the connector holder clips broken. When I powered it on, I would not get the camera to self check unless I pushed up on the camera, but when I let go or started flying, all camera information was lost. This caused all the drone information to freeze. And last. Make sure you are using DJI GO. The inspire 1 will not work with DJI GO4.
