iOs Workaround or Not?

So, after much gnashing of teeth and reading the back and fourth, what the latest? Is there a way to use an Apple device, or not?

There is a workaround on YouTube using ifunbox.com. It is well explained, provides the app, takes about 10 mins and works. It may be blocked in the future but I successfully used it yesterday with no problem. If you have trouble finding it post an update to your original I'll find it again and post a link.
