Have yet to purchase, first must sell two P2V+ units, and one P2V.

Question is, will the Inspire1 tablet holder fit the iPad Air 2?

Yes I just tried it last night with mine. You have to have it out of any case you have, but it fits just fine and the weight I'd not crazy.

I'm going to use my iPad mini 2. I have an air 2 but just seems abit heavy.

Air 2 is working great for us. Terribly annoyed I have to take it out of its smart case to mount on the remote.

Agreed, the tablet mount needs to be redesigned to allow for a case. They are not very thick so it wouldn't require much modification, but it is nice to know it is somewhat protected in case for some reason it falls from the mount.

The vast majority of owners use cases for the tablets, smartphones, etc. but it seems engineers never accommodate accessories for this fact. Consider the lightning connectors, they will not accommodate most cases. All it needs is an extra mm of length or so.
