So looks like there is damage to the smart connector, does it still power the iPad and transfer data?

Yup nonproblem at all works perfect just dented.

just to clarify, not referring to where the cable plugs in but the 3 dots on the side where the damage is. That is the smart connector, does that still work? It looks like it's cracked in the pic.

Works fine it's just cosmetics apple store confirmed it when they checked it out
