Any insight regarding Liability for drone pilot when operating a client-owned drone? Also, how to request an FAA authorization in this case. Thanks!y

I would think as long as you are a named insured on the policy it doesn’t matter who the insurance owner is. I have my licensed assistant named on my policy so he can fly too when needed.

FAA authorization doesn’t ask who owns the drone, they just want the pilot name and sometimes the drone type. It’s the pilot that has the authorization not the drone. That’s been my experience anyway.
