My observations at the Commercial UAV Expo

This is based on my observations and opinion only.

1) Way too many people have too much $$$ to burn without basic knowledge on what to do or focus on.

2) This is the year for LiDAR, I mean lots of LiDAR.

3) We don't seem to have enough SaaS processing company, offering the exact same as the competition, at a prices that are all over the map.

4) Talk about #2 and #3, there lots of mapping company.

I attended this year for 2 days. I see a lot of exciting and interesting hardware evolution.
The industry is growing, and presents opportunities for money to be made.
My company was just exploring as we primarily are invested in full size helicopters and avionics.
I have a ton of literature picked up, to still read.
It was unfortunate that a law enforcement expo was in Reno the same days. Bad scheduling for the drone industry attendees.
