Osmo wifi help please

I have just bought a handle only Osmo kit to utilise my existing x3 camera from my drone. The camera and drone unfortunatly are with DJI at this time, so I though I would try to pair the handle and my phone in the mean time.
However my android phone does not find any osmo wireless network ?

Can some one please test and see if without a camera fitted the Osmo actually is sending a wifi signal or do you need to have a camera fitted?

pretty sure you need the camera but i will go to my shop and try it without the camera and get back to you

OK, I just checked it out. You need the camera. there is no wifi without it

thank you, thats a relief, now have to wait till tuesday till my bird and cameras come back from DJI care.
