Since purchasing my Inspire 1 several months ago, I've always shot in 3840x2160/30. However, lately I find myself wanting to make videos that are more "cinematic" looking. Yesterday, I took one of my videos and re-edited to crop the frame down to 3840x1634, or an aspect ratio of 2.35:1. As it turned out, I really like the wider aspect ratio. Now, I'm starting to think that I should shoot in 4096x2160/24...so I'll get a slightly higher resolution for the 2.35:1 cropped image.
I was wondering if anyone else has started experimenting with different resolutions and/or aspect ratios, or what everyone's preferences are.
