This is the footage from my first attempt at backpacking my I1 into the mountains. Just 7 miles (12K) from my Buffalo Wyoming Motel, the Mountain View, is the Moser Gulch Recreation area. From Moser Gulch I bicycled approximately 1.5 miles (2.4K) up the Grouse Mountain trail. The canyon pictured in this video is where I like to take my dogs for their daily walk. In the canyon there is an Ice Cave. The Ice Cave was created by a mass wasting landslide that deposited numerous huge blocks of Precambrian gneiss into the canyon. One of the huge gneiss blocks dropped into Clear Creek below. The gneiss block forms a nice pool of water behind it. The dogs and I like to swim there. There are waterfalls both below and above the pool. You can see the cliffs in this video from the pool.
