Hey

I have a potential job in the USA later this year. Does anyone have any experience getting permits and licenses to fly commercially in the states.

Will i have to register with the Federal Drone Register?

Thanks.

If you fly commercially in the US, then you will need a Remote Pilot In Command (RPIC) with an FAA part 107 license.

That can be you, if you study and pass the test. I recommend FAA Drone Certification Test Prep | Drone Pilot Ground School.

Or it can be someone else you hire. That person does not need to be the one flying the drone; you can fly, as long as you have a licensed RPIC on site.
