Unfortunately for me I hear it's the most stable, and I need to work, so I'll do what I have to.
Also, I want autopilot.
also to be fair it will also give you map pilot which (when working) is the best app. Although the new Ground Station Pro app looks very promising - i was looking at it last night and it now looks to support the I2 as it is no longer "coming soon" on the website !!
Yeah, GS Pro is the other thing I want and need iOS for...
Used to be an apple guy until they dropped us old guys on our butts with the Intel switch... so at least I'll be able to use the 1.5k in pro apps I've bought over the years for my old iPad 2 that don't work on it anymore.

apart from the fact I'm not sure how you manually take over in GS Pro - I'm not sure whether you flick the flight switch or what - as the manual is no help!
Well, I just ordered an iPad pro 9.7... should be here tomorrow, I need to be able to work.
So I'll be able to actually use GS come tomorrow afternoon.
Let me now how that goes - would love to know if your going to use the 3d mapping option

The app is alright... disconnected on me once shortly after takeoff, but no issues after that.
The issues caused by the firmware update are still there (obviously). For me, the X4S still shakes, causing the jello effect in my video which was not there before the firmware update, but that's another subject.

what did the inspire do when the app crashed - paused or carried on - how do you take over manually ?

I still had complete control, I just flew back and landed. The screen just went grey and I lost all telemetry/video feed as if I had disconnected my iPad from the RC (which I didn't).

Generally, to take over manual control you switch from p-gps/sport over to ATTI mode. It should disconnect any program sequence running as you're effectively then turning off its Compass and GPS signal feed.
