I meant 3rd party cameras. Exploring the outside world. Wondering why some electrical engineers haven’t diagnosed a retrofit of say a z30 or something.

If you become successful in the z30/I1 quest, please then spend some time with a z30/I2 hookup. I would buy into that one.

DJI products are so highly engineered that reverse engineering them is pretty much impossible in any economically viable way. And investing that effort to produce a 3rd party camera for an end of life craft ( the I1) is a complete non starter.

The I1v2 payload limits would be exceeded by the Z30 most likely... I think it exceeds the X5R weight by a good margin.

Again weight would be an concern, but you'd be further ahead balancing an electronic MFT zoom lens for the X5 / X5R. Several threads on larger zooms balanced & mounted to the X5.

Nothing will reach the Z30 30x - 6x total 180x total zoom range... but I think I've read some have mounted something in the 210 focal range.
