The camera needs a top arm due to the mounting bolt pulling thru it and it needs a ribbon cable other than that the camera looks great and the camera picture was still working until I took the top arm apart

May want to look at the age of this lack of response thread and the name used by the original poster.
There is.
Start by looking at when a member joined the forum. Another clue would be to use caution if they are using an oddball name as that may indicate volume of gray matter. Typically, the ones that just joined and jumping in with items to sell may require some thought. If a member has a few years in the system, and substantial numbers of posts, probably better to deal with them versus the newbie.
Another option would be to post what you are attempting to find in the classified section and pick and choose from the responses. If someone wants to sell you something at an unreasonable cost, high or low, that would be suspect. The all powerful eBay is a good source of information on what people are willing to pay for a given item and also what people are attempting to sell it for.
Also, there are several other forums that members are a part of and you may find additional information for them there.
