Hi all,
I picked up a brand new GL 685A RC on sale from a local (New Zealand) store recently to use as a slave RC for my Inspire 1 v.2
I didn't realize how old the A model was at the time (the one that came with the aircraft is a C model) and I find I'm absolutely unable to communicate with it probably due to it having very old firmware on board. I've tried the following steps, all to no avail:
1. Tried to manually pair it with the aircraft. Couldn't get past the blue light on the RC flashing.
2. Tried to manually update using the USB port with all pre 1.3 updates. Wouldn't even start the update process, it was like nothing was plugged into the port.
Hopefully someone can advise me how to get in and get this thing updated, if not It's back to the store with it I guess...
