Does anyone know if the camera is fixed at its 14 mega pixel rating or whatever it is? I only ask becuase it seems when Im taking photos and the video is set to 4k vs 1080p the quality of the photo is better. Seems crazy but just what I have noticed over the last few days taking photos and video. Anyone have any input on this? thanks.

Can it shoot stills in each of the 3 video modes? UHD, FHD, HD?
Maybe it changes with the recording modes selections. Doesn't sound like the optimal setup but it is possible that's how it works...

I've never even seen different shootings modes burst time lapse etc ? Only color modes and format modes.

So every still is 4K? Thats going to eat up storage quickly.

I just read: a full resolution image taken with the Galaxy S5. It's 9.9MB.

Not as big/bad as I thought they would be, but still 10MB adds up.

In stills mode, hold down the shutter button. You will get an arc of selections, including single, burst, exposure bracket and time-lapse.

Far as I know, it does not have the capability to take stills and video simultaneously. I assume that is what you were asking, right?
