Hey does anyone know if Cendance has on board gps? Or do I need to buy accessory unit?

Thanks

No built in GPS, but the current version of the Go 4 app doesn't support the external GPS module so not sure right now if it is compatible.

Odds are it is, but until Go 4 is updated you can't use it anyway...

Crystal Sky has a builtin GPS receiver. Using the CS with Cendence will give you position data within GO 4.

Understood, but f you want to use the recent update which allows a true dynamic updated home point then with the standard controller you need the external GPS module, what we don't yet know is if the CS GPS is good enough on its own or if we still need the external GPS module...

We can't really be sure on that point until Go 4 is updated on CS...

So if i use cendence and gps module with new app dynamic home point will work?

This is really important as we fly off boats so the home point can change and we don't want the drone returing to original home point.

What about the setting yo update cendance location as currrnt home point?

HI THERE>.jonathan in NYC. Flying Inspire 1's & Inspire 2. Most interested in the issues with dynamic home point. A reply above said the following:

Thanks to the update to the CS firmware earlier this week I have been able to confirm that the version of Go 4 it uses does now correctly recognise the GPS module and allows the dynamic home point option to be selectable.

I can't comment on Cendence yet as mine is not due until next week, but I'd be very surprised if it didn't work with Cendence...

Ok I have the module in the cen dance RC but it doesn't look like it works even though the setting is in the app. keeps saying can't connect to Gps . I have logged error with DJI but for heavens sake this is hard!

I assume that without the GPS module connected, the setting is not available in the app?

However when the gps modual is connected when you click the dynamic home point button it will not stay on. It keeps sliding back to off'.

I think that is a display error.

tap it once and leave that screen then return to it and you should see it is activated.
