Hey doods!

For sale today is an Inspire 1, v1 drone / quadcopter, dual remote controls, 2 sets of props, X3 camera with ND filter, 4 batteries (in fair condition) in a roll-away Pelican Case. My business partner purchased this drone brand new in mid 2015. By my estimate the drone has roughly 100 hours of flight time on the clock. She has been case-kept in a temperature controlled, non-smoking environment since day 1 and never traveled outside the very robust Pelican Case. This drone and the controllers are in excellent condition. Sale price is $2,000.

I have fully tested this drone, the controllers (including dual controller mode) and the camera using the DJI Go App v3.1.1.

Included in the sale. Everything was fully tested:

* One Inspire-1, v1 drone / quadcopter.

* TWO full sets of propellers (8 propellers total).
* TWO GL658B controllers (fully tested).
* ONE X3 camera (fully tested), including ONE ND filter of unknown strength.
* Spare prop hubs. Two are brand new still in the factory packaging and a couple more are used (see photos).
* ONE very robust, rolling Pelican Case.
* FOUR batteries (three TB-48 and one TB-47), all in fair to poor condition. One of the batteries doesn't charge at all (there are companies that rebuild these batteries, so the "shells" are of value).

What is NOT included in this sale:
* iPads are NOT included in this sale.
* Apple cables are NOT included in this sale.

* NOTE: As of this writing I do not have the charger. Ergo, it is not in the photos. Rest assured I am actively looking for it and will include it in the sale. In the unlikely event that I cannot locate the charger, I will work something out with you.

I believe most questions are answered via the photos and body of this ad. If you have any questions, please feel free to axe.

Questions:

  1. You mention that these units sell regularly on eBay for $5,000. I can't seem to find a record of any sales of this model anywhere near that price. Could you please link to the most recent 3 sales for over $5,000?
  2. You describe your price as fair. And then do not provide your price. How much?
  3. You mention that you fully tested this drone. You also mentioned that you can't find the battery charger. Did the tests involve flying the drone, and if so, how were the batteries charged for this test?

Going back to get the link, this seller has lowered the listed price to $4900. He also lowered shipping to $250.

I can no longer find the other two listings with dual controllers and Pelican Cases. I should have screenshot them. I imagine they sold.

  1. You describe your price as fair. And then do not provide your price. How much?
Touché. Indeed, an oversight on my part. I will update the OP to include the price, which is $4K.

  1. You mention that you fully tested this drone.
Yes. Correct.

  1. You also mentioned that you can't find the battery charger.
I haven't found it YET. I DO have it. It's in my drone office somewhere. I'm confident I will find it in the next day or two. I haven't had time to go to the office yet. I visit my office only a few times a month. I'm not willing to take the 13 mile trip out there for the sole purpose of finding the charger. Rest assured, I will find it before shipping the drone.

  1. Did the tests involve flying the drone
Absolutely.

  1. , and if so, how were the batteries charged for this test?
I have a 6-battery charger that I use for TB-47, 48 and TB-50 batteries. What I have misplaced in my office is the *factory* charger that ships with the drone. Again, I'm confident I will find it and will include it in the sale package.

No Inspire 1 has sold on eBay for anywhere near $5,000. You do know that you can search eBay's sold listings, don't you?

This one listing you provided was not a sold Inspire 1. It was an active listing for a bundle of two drones, one of which is a Matrice M30 worth far more than the Inspire 1.

I did not. I figured out how to search for sold items. It seems that they are selling for a lot less than $5K. I don't like that I can only see the listing, and not the actual auction. It would help to know what is included, the condition of the drones and if they are tested. To me, "tested" is a huge deal, as there are a plethora of used drone horror stories throughout the Internet, including a few in the "Pilot" series of forums.

I see that. I guess I am going to have to reconsider the selling price. For now I'm going to list it for $2K. Thanx for the information.
