Don't get it wet!

Hi All, the ZMR 250 with coated ESC's works fine, no over heating. So I will have to bite the bullet and coat one of the ESC's on the Inspire
and give it a go! when it stops raining in the UK!
So no flight time for you in 2016? :(

Chris

Hi All, well got to test fly the rebuilt I1 today first off I had to replace the bearings in the other 2 motors the salt had got to them as well!
I flew 3 batteries the ESC with the Q30 coating was fine, no over heating and preformed as the rest of the ESC's, so I will coat the others when I get round to it
so I'm very pleased with my rebuilt I1, was it worth all the work? yes it was and I know a lot more about the I1 now for the future if needed

Hi Pilots, More Head’s up on the I 1 rebuild,
On the first test flight with 3 batteries run through it all went fine, BUT I only flew it to about 10/15 feet in height. I have taken it out for the 2nd flight to give it a proper shake down,
To my dismay once I flew it over 15ft I lost GPS lock had to fly it on manual,
Looking at screen only had a max of 5 satellites could not get any more
So looked at GPS module and that to was corroding with salt and sand to (see Photos)
GPS.jpg GPS1.jpg I have now replaced the GPS module and all is well SO DON’T FLY IT ON A BEACH OR NEAR SALT WATER you will kill it!!!
