Can anyone tell me what the EVA foam that's usually packaged with the battery insulators or gimbal bushings is for. They were on my bird when it came from the distributor on the strut legs. I assumed that they were for used for shipping. Am I missing something?

I am glad you asked that question because I was wondering what they were for as well?
I have now discarded them as I was convinced they were just packaging.
However I see them included in some products listing as Battery EVA foam.
Not a clue because I cannot find anywhere where there use is described??
