Firmware Update Time

I just got my Inspire and am trying to do the firmware update.

It said to allow ~25 minutes, I'm not going on over 30 minutes and it's still making the dot matrix printer style sound.

How long should this take?

Mine took 40 min

What sound is it? Like "D-D-D"? If so I think its safe to reboot it and upgrade the radio. Mine took like 10-15mins or so, but mine lost video signal so i didnt have any progress bar

It was three D's...I eventually stopped it and checked the log file...Success!

The upgrade manual clearly says 4 D's during updating, 3 when finished.

manual states upgrade AC first then RC. some youtube video says RC then AC.

@Kilrah yes thank you...what threw me off was the pause indicated in the manual...I wasn't hearing a pause.

The controller upgrade was much clearer, as it had a status light to indicate upgrading versus upgrade complete.

If only the aircraft had some sort of status light.
