Gimbal Protector

Came across a Vimeo and YouTube demonstration of a gimbal protector for the Inspire 1

My only crash with the Inspire saw one of the flat cables rip out the connection to the gimbal, when the camera and gimbal separated from the craft. The protector may have prevented this damage.

Be careful with the camera hood device because the inspire camera gets very hot during filming and relies on good airflow over the small cooling fins on the top of the camera, this device looks to be obstructing that air flow!
Not sure about the gimbal lock though?
