hey everyone !

Flying for a few years now, all started with a small Hubsan 107.Then bought another, then a 109 then moved to a Latrax Alias and my first Phantom 1.

Bought a Phantom 2 and equipped with all the usual : iOSD, FPV, etc

Few weeks ago upgraded to a Phamtom3 Professional and its quite a nice drone but I always lusted for an Inspire.

My passion is photography and two days ago I got a friend that said needed cash and if I wanted to buy his Insipire 1 which was bought... three days ago. For 1200 euros, we closed the deal and I now proudly own a Inspire 1 with the upgraded 1345s props.

Since Photography is my drive, I plan on saving now for a X5 but so far, I'm thrilled with the Inspire. The quality camera is similar if not the same as the P3PRO but the gimbal movements and no props on the picture is superb.

Then there is the speed. I have to admit : always found a bit pompous when Inspire pilots said "Phantoms are cute toys then there is the inspire" or "phantoms are vw and Inspire is a ferrari"

I now understand my masters. Its in a complete different league and after 3 years with Phantoms, I now have to readjust to the Inspire speed - its insane speed and agility.

Hope to learn a lot from you guys,

Proenca

Welcome to the site. You'll love your inspire. My family is from Portugal as well but most of them live in São Miguel. I'm only a visitor once or twice a year. Good luck and happy flying.

Welcome!! Enjoy the bird but respect it until you are comfortable with it.
When you get the X5, you will be complete!
I started with Phantom 3 Std, then P3P, then inspire with X3.
You're right. No difference between the X3 and Phantom Pro camera.
I soon graduated to the X5 and haven't missed the X3 once. Much better definition, focus, F-stop, lens interchangeability, etc.
Fly safe!!

thank you :) In the Azores ? You never brought your Inspire ? :) After I'm getting my X5, its one of my "have to go there with the Inspire" places. Pretty much #1 in Portugal, actually :)

thanks for the welcome !

Thank you !

Had today my first "big" flight and boy, things are quite different from the Phantom.

Controversly I fell safer flying longer distances with the Inspire : since its so fast, it can travel REALLY away, while the Phantom it was slow ( dead slow by Inspire standards lol ) and I was never much of a fan of getting it very far away.

Of course I upgraded everything and now I have choppy transmission and have to downgrade the firmware. But loving the bird, theres a bit a of a learning curve, happy to take it !

Yup, Azores. When I travel, I usually only bring one of my phantoms for fun flights. It would be nice to have my inspire but for all of the moving around and packing and unpacking, the phantoms are just easier. I am actually looking into DJI's new quad. I am just getting to lazy for setup. :D
