Hey MortarArt, I have been considering canceling my Inspire order and just building a custom Phantom 2 rig that can hold a decent stills camera. Can you build be the system? or sell me your old one?

Jonathanivy; I print the mounts, so they're very easy to recreate. A friend of mine also figured out how to use the 7th channel on the Phantom 2 remote to trigger the shutter. He sells my mount and the cables for the shutter here; http://droner-systems.myshopify.com
It's about $240usd. The Ricoh GR is one of the best, large sensor stills cameras that works with it. The Sony rx-100 is another popular option. I use the NX-1100, but don't recommend it a lot, because it really tests the limits of the Phantom 2's payload.
