iPad Air 2 or iPad mini

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and flying Quads. My I1 will arrive on Monday. I can't wait. I have an iPad Air 2. I also have a chance to purchase an iPad mini for cheap. Size wise, which would be better to use with the I1 remote? Thanks in advance for your opinions...

Originally purchased the Mini 3 but returned it for the Air 2. The bigger screen is great for details, It is a little bulkier and I think 4 oz. heavier but worth it in my opinion. Air 2 also has a faster processor.

I've got the air 2 and I use the PadHat.
Works a treat!

And make sure to switch to airplane mode ... enable flight mode... to be safe

What about the holder? Is it really strong enough to hold it safely?
