Mapping problems (semi-newbie question)

Just put the device into Airplane Mode. If the map is there it is cached. No need to fly to see if it's working.

Well, I probably solve it. Closing app after chaching dlete everythings. Is that for you also?

No... The map stays in the app until a new one is put in. I'm using an iPad mini version 2.

Just scroll to areas you want in the app and let them load.
