So I am watching "Live from the PGA Championship" just now and it appears NBC has obtained an exemption to use a drone for the coverage. They had a drone overhead on the range with players while they were talking about there swing. There is no doubt it was a drone because I was able to see the shadow when they went to a ground camera. Oh and it is clearly a DSLR equipped as they have zoom capabilities and they are clearly flying over a big crowd as well. They are clearly not commenting about the use of it though since they have been one of the agencies giving drones a bad rap.
